Health Educator
Career Description
Health educators work to improve the health of communities through education. They study public health needs and then design and implement educational programs to address such needs. Health educators work on a wide range of issues, including drug abuse, HIV infection, nutrition and environmental factors.

Academic Requirements
Health educator positions require an undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university and a master’s or doctorate degree in public health. A background in education is helpful.
